The Lotte Series Pt. I—IV is a four part site-specific installation with re-interpretations of works by Lotte Laserstein, 1898—1997, an artist of Jewish descent that immigrated from Germany to the small city of Kalmar in the south of Sweden. The work is based on paintings and documents found in the collection and archives of Kalmar Art Museum. Informed by her artistry and relation to her long term friend Traute Rose each part in the series uses different media, addressing issues of representation of women, private identity, alienation, the “muse” as a phenomenon and art as commodity.

The Lotte Series Pt. I—IV was commissioned by the Kalmar Art Museum for the exhibition HÄR II. The series consists of four parts: I am a Stranger Here Myself (Tomas), L to V (Vita to Virginia), Traute I (Still Life) and Traute II (Puppy). The work was awarded the Jury Prize. Exhibitions: 2 x Kalmar Art Museum, Kalmar SE.
